Kianna Dowan has played hockey since 2015 when she started her first year novice at the age of 7. She played with the boys in house league for 3 years, until switching to all girls hockey. She has come a long way and developed a lot over the years. She recently took the next steps forward by trying out for the Brandon Wheat Kings Atom girls team at the current age of 11. She made the team and gained a lot of confidence. She has always had a passion for hockey and is following in her dads footsteps. Her dad, Corey Courchene played with the Brandon Wheat Kings back in 2003-2007. Her mom, Serena Dowan, spends countess hours taking her to every practice and game. We would like to thank Sioux Valley Dakota Nation for all the support over the years!
