SVHS Students Achieve Success at Isanti Makoce Dakota Language Bowl (04.29.17)

This weekend, 4 of our Sioux Valley High School students departed to Nebraska to take part in the Isanti Makoce Dakota Language Bowl 2017, carrying the knowledge of our Dakota language with them to compete with other students from across North America. Their goals were not only to try to win, but to also learn more about our language and help keep the language strong in our community. They did not disappoint, nor with they be leaving Nebraska empty handed. David Harris, Inez Johnson, Montana McKay and Hayley McKay placed 3rd in the High School category. We are all so proud of these young students achievement. With them on this journey were Pierre McKay and Councillors Jennifer Bone and Eleanore Elk. We wish them safe travels home, and thank them for their hard work and dedication.

Thank You
