On December 9th, 2019, Sioux Valley Dakota Nation held its annual Brandon Community Christmas Dinner at the MNP Hall at the Keystone Center.
This year we had 255 SVDN Brandon and area residents attend the dinner. This exceeded the previous year’s attendance. It was a nice evening for all those in attendance, to get reacquainted with friends and family and to enjoy a nice holiday meal.
Chief Jennifer Bone and Councillor Jamie Hall spoke to the members and welcomed them to the Brandon Community Christmas Dinner. Which was followed by Councillor Eleanor Elk saying the prayer before the meal.
Once everyone’s bellies were full, Santa Clause arrived with treat bags for all the children. There line up was long to see Mr.Clause but he did receive tons of hugs.
2019 had a very successful Brandon community dinner to bring the members closer and to spread some Christmas cheer.
