On the evening of December 22, 2016, Sioux Valley held their annual Winnipeg Member Community Christmas Dinner. It was held in the Best Western Plus Downtown, and was a nice evening for all who attended. Friends and family gathered to share a Christmas meal, visit, and catch up with members of Chief and Council and the coordinators of this annual event. Chief Vince Tacan addressed the crowd and expressed the importance of all Sioux Valley members to visit and stay in touch. Several youth in attendance were aware that Santa had made an appearance at our SVDN Brandon Member Community Christmas Dinner and were anxious to see if he would once again make an appearance, and the big man did not disappoint, making an appearance and bringing treats for all the little ones. Santa has a busy schedule, but was able to stick around and take pictures with several of the kids. Even SV elder Wayne Wasicuna got in on the fun and had his photo taken with Santa. Another successful community dinner to help bring the members of Sioux Valley closer and bring some Christmas cheer.
