On May 24, 2017, Sioux Valley held its annual Career Fair to help assist and expose students and community members to possible career futures and post-secondary education. We had booths set up from SV Health, SV Petro-Can, SV Employment and Training, Prairie Mountain Health, and Professional Transport Driver Training School, who brought two tractor trailers for people to explore. Sioux Valley High School students were brought in to speak with these people to help assist them in their upcoming career futures. Booths from Assiniboine Community College, Brandon University and Yellowquill College were also on hand to help guide people in their possible career futures and explain the type of education would be required to enter certain career fields. It was a positive day of learning and exploring and students took turns exploring the tractor trailers and honking that big air horn.
We look forward to future career fairs and feel these are a positive annual event to help assist our people with future career decisions.
If you are an entrepreneur, a small or large business owner or from a field that would be interested in participating in one of Sioux Valley’s future career fairs please don’t hesitate to contact us as we would love to expand our career fair and include all career possibilities.
